Fluorocoated combines the advantages of fluorocarbon with those of nylon.
XFC in particular has very high knot resistance and unmatched tensile strength in fluorocoated lines.
Compared to nylon, it offers greater resistance to abrasion, very low visibility in water, and less stretch.
The advantages compared to fluorocarbon are less rigidity, and greater smoothness in the cast and retrieval.
In short, a more resilient, more transparent and less stretchy nylon, or a less rigid fluorocarbon that is more manageable during wintertime.
